Who is responsible

This website is operated by James Alden, an independent web developer based in Greater Manchester, UK. For privacy questions, use the contact form on the contact page. Please provide a direct privacy contact email before launch if you want one published here.

Information you send

If you submit an enquiry, the information you provide (such as your name, email address, business details and project description) will be used to respond to you and discuss potential work. The form is intended for business enquiries; please do not include sensitive personal information.

The contact form is intended to be processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. Formspree will receive the information submitted through the form and process it under its own privacy terms. Confirm the form endpoint, account settings, storage and retention period before launch. Information will be kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.

Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics 4 is not loaded unless you choose to allow analytics in the cookie notice. Your choice is stored in this browser. If enabled, Google Analytics may collect information about how you use the site, such as pages visited and device/browser details. Google Search Console is used by the site owner to understand search visibility; it does not add analytics tracking to your visit.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Change analytics choice” button below. Confirm the final analytics configuration, retention settings and Google account privacy settings before launch.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to answer enquiries, administer prospective projects and operate the website. It is shared with service providers needed to handle those purposes, including Formspree for contact submissions, Vercel for website hosting, and Google only if analytics is enabled with your consent. The providers may process information in locations outside the UK; review their current terms and transfer safeguards before launch.

Your choices and rights

You may ask about the personal information held about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or object to or restrict certain processing. The rights available depend on the circumstances and the legal basis for the processing. To make a request, use the contact form and mention privacy. You can decline analytics cookies without affecting your ability to use the site. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
